Paying A Price

Paying a Price!

I’m writing this primarily to Evangelists because they are the ones in this Season of my Life, that I believe God has called me to minister to specifically.

I was considering what the “Signs of Revival” are the other day, and asked a group of fellow Pastors what they thought.   The responses were interesting.    First we started with 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Humility shows up, Prayer is intensified, a Passion for Christ develops, and we begin to shed the things of this world and sin.

Added to that then, were the things that happened on the day of Pentecost.    Like Unity of the Leaders, the Sovereignty of God, Gathering together in Worship, Prayer and Tarrying.

Although these may be some of the things that happened before revival – they amplified after the Move of God.

Other things they suggested were – Souls were saved, People were filled with the Holy Spirit, Healings, Miracles, Transformation, Passion, Genuine Repentance, Deliverance, Persecution and Answered Prayer.

If these are the “signs of revival” the whole church should be interested in paying the price to see it happen again, in our day.

Knox in Scotland prayed – “give me Scotland or I die”    Praying Hyde prayed – “give me souls or I die”.  No wonder they had revival in their day.    That sounds like the agony of the Spirit, groaning which cannot be uttered, or like Jesus in the garden, “He sweat as it were great drops of blood”.

Evangelists.    You will never see revival with man-made technology.   It just can’t happen!    It can help to draw a crowd and that might be o.k., but, a real revival will draw crowds of itself.

If; God is going to send a revival in these days, and I believe He wants too; then we must look at His word and see the process and promises that will cause it to happen.

Remember every Opportunity is not necessarily of God!

We need Supernatural, Sovereign, Spontaneous movements by His Holy Spirit!
